This last one--she gets the overachiever star! She was determined to get her rows sewn together, and what fantastic progress she made!
But aren't these all beautiful? Some were making table runners like mine
and others were making baby quilt size, which is what my teaching piece will be.
Quite rumpled after being folded up all night. Eventually, I'll applique some white daisies on top--should be sweet.
I had a great time, and so did everyone else. Many loved the hint of taking six stitches to match up seam lines, excited that they could use that for other applications. For a review of that process, see the sewing diamonds post. I need to rewrite the cutting diamonds post, unless you really want to cut your diamonds out of straight strips. The way I taught the ladies yesterday was so much easier!
Now I just need to think of another technique to teach--any suggestions?
Have a great day quilting!
