Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015! And with the start of a new year, comes an updated look to the blog!
The biggest change is the header,
showcasing some of my favorite quilts from last year. Starting clockwise from the upper left, the beautiful feather quilting on Scraplicious Florabunda leads it off.
Next, a recent finish, Falling Leaves, is shown in it's full glory, followed by my nephew's wedding gift, Metro Medallion.
On the end, trying to escape the header is Fred, the Fugitive, still King of the Roost!
Coming back along the bottom, there's ABC123, and the green scrappy Twinkler quilt.
And last but not least, my personal sewing challenge quilts, Random Acts of Blue and Scraplicious Florabunda. It's been a beautiful quilty year!
The next new item, or items on the blog, are the social media buttons, like this one , forming that pretty hexie flower up top. Isn't it awesome??? Oh, and be sure to check out the Pinterest button when hovering over pictures.
Feel free to pin away!
And a few things have gone away for a time, like 'Blogs I Follow'. There are actually a lot more blogs than what was on that list. If your blog has a badge, let me know and I'll be happy to put it on the sidebar.
Also gone is the list of Craftsy classes. I'm a bit unhappy with them at the moment, due to their affiliate commission structure and handling of the VAT issue. So for the time being, no more big endorsements from me. Too bad, cause I really love their classes.
There are a couple more new items. On the right sidebar, there's an expanded list of popular posts with thumbnail pictures. I love pictures! And at the end of each post there's the fancy new widget that showcases some of my other previous posts that may pique your interest.
And there's also the 'FTC compliance statement' stating that if you click on an advertisement on my site, I may receive compensation as an affiliate.
FTC Compliance Statement: This blog contains affiliate links, which means I receive compensation if you make a purchase within 24 hours of clicking on the links. I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will add value to my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
Rest assured, I only put quilting related companies that I have dealt with on my site. I'm not interested in selling cars or mouthwash!
Guess that's it for now! Of course, I'll always be tweaking the blog, but I'm going with this for now. Hoping to bring you great inspiration in the coming year!
