Colds and Christmas

Nothing like a cold to take the wind out of one's sails. I haven't been sick in over a year, so this cold seems extremely bad, and has certainly made me unmotivated to do anything. So hard to get anything done.

Don't know exactly where I picked this one up, but it could have been from my graduate this past weekend.

He and his roommates had colds, and mine set in on Monday, with a nasty sore throat. At least I wasn't sick for all the graduation festivities. Can't believe four years is done - Congratulations to him and the Class of 2016!

Yesterday, when my head wasn't so foggy, I worked on a placemat pattern for an upcoming Christmas in July blog hop organized by Sarah over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict.

There are twenty-six bloggers participating, each providing a Christmas project to jump start your sewing for the holidays. I'll give you a sneak peek of mine, though it's still just on paper.

You'll get to see more when it's my turn toward the end of July. Hopefully, I'll feel better tomorrow to actually cut and sew.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Congrats to your graduate and I hope you feel better. Summer colds are never fun. I love a good Christmas tree project, so I'm looking forward to your hop post.

  3. The best thing about a cold is that you really appreciate feeling good when it is behind you. Feel better soon.
