Santorini, Greece

It's a beautiful day in Santorini, Greece!

Santorini Greece

The sun so bright, the sky so clear and blue. The beautiful church steeple absolutely shines!

As do the walls of the buildings, with their fascinating twists and turns.

Makes me want to visit Santorini all over again!

  2. It seems that having your work sit on the UFO shelf was worth the wait while you found the right book to guide your quilting. Great job.

    1. I think you're absolutely right Ann! Painting and quilting were the biggest hurdles I placed in front of myself. Now that it's done, I rather enjoyed the process and I'm now thinking of my next landscape project.

    2. Why is it that we build hurdles only to break through them and then want to jump them again and again? I suppose it's part of the creative process, but doesn't it seem we could find another way? Haha, at least one that doesn't require so much UFO time for projects?
Love this quilt, Susan! The colors and textures are spot on!

  8. It is stunning. I love the wording too. Initially I looked at it and thought you had done a Greek key quilting in the borders. I love that you added "Santorini" to it.
