October 2017 Book of the Month

Last month it was all about quilting. This month, I'm going back to basics with Charm School (affiliate link)

Found this book, by Vanessa Goertzen, while browsing the New section of my local library. Perfect! I'll use up more of those charm squares!

I've got my eye on these beauties in the book:

now that's a lot to choose from!

Here's the current level of charms in the bin -

let's see if I can put a dent in that.

How about you? Need to use up those charm packs you've been saving? Then let's get to it - I'd love for you to take the challenge and to post your creations to Midweek Makers. We love to see what you make!

Happy Quilting!

  1. I never seen any good quilting books at the library - they always have old ones that I really don't care for any more - by old I mean from the 80's and before!

  2. I think it is time for me to also start using up some of my charm squares! They are always fun to work with.

  3. I have that book too. I'm looking forward to seeing what patterns you make into quilts.

  4. Lickety Split looks like it's a Disappearing 4-Patch. I've made one of those; you get a lot of quilt for a just a little effort. Dot

  5. I finally buckled under and bought this one and September's book of the month as well. You make such great projects. Connecting Threads had them on sale, so why not?
