Midweek Makers #97

Welcome to Midweek Makers #97 - getting closer to 100!

Not only will that be a special occasion, but today's post is too, as it marks QuiltFabrication's 700th post! A seriously mind boggling number from almost 5 years of blogging. Guess I do really love to talk about quilting - and thank you all for listening!

Ok, enough of the milestones - now on to the sharing.
I've gotten a start working on creating 4 1/2" four patches from charm squares.

Scrap Happy four patch units

I need to make more before I decide on the final grouping of 16. But I've come up with a creative way to distribute the variety within the four patches - tutorial coming soon!

And did you notice last week had numerous star related quilts - let's take a look back:

Tish in Wonderland

Quilts, Etc

de Jong Dream House

Katie Mae Quilts

Chopin - A Passionate Quilter

Yellow Cat Quilt Designs

Quite the variety, don't you think? And for the above star crossed quilters, grab the special 'Featured' button below!

Time to see you're up to! Link up your WIPs, your finishes, or your to-do list - we'd love to see! Just a few guidelines to keep in mind:
  • Please link directly to your specific post, not your main blog page.
  • Visit and leave a comment to two links: the one before and the one after your own. Everyone loves visitors and comments!
  • Bring a friend! Invite your fellow bloggers to the party by spreading the word! Share this post on Facebook, Twitter, or Google+. Feel free to use the sharing buttons at the bottom of the page.
  • Please link back to www.QuiltFabrication.com somewhere on your post. Though now not required (fixed the issue with InLinkz), it makes for a better party for all of us!

BTW, for those of you who are also looking for new blogs to follow, the linky party is a great way to discover them!

Have fun!

  1. Hi Susan,
I look forward to hearing how you distribute the different fabrics throughout the quilt. I always have issues with that and some end up close to each other. I love all the star quilts - one of my favorite patterns. ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. I guess we were all really seeing stars last week :) Congrats on post 700! That's a huge deal! I look forward to your tutorial. Sometimes it can be a struggle to make sure you get fabrics distributed evenly through out a quilt. Scrappy doesn't always come easy :)

    1. Thanks on 700 - I just happened to notice on Monday.
And yes, sometimes scrappy doesn't come easy, but as I was told once in a 'scrappy' class, don't over-think it.
