Midweek Makers #69

It's Wednesday, and time Midweek Makers! Who has things to share? I've got the last two t-shirt quilt tops to show:

for daughter 1

and for the quilter who commissioned these

The last two days I've buried myself in piecing the backings, which are taking just about as long as making the fronts. But the good news is, just about every yard of fabric is used, meaning I have very little to buy. You know how I am about using everything, and you'll see what I mean when these are finished.

Speaking of a finish, the quilt that caught my eye last week was this pretty pink sampler quilt,

made by Maggie at Making a Lather. I'm usually not a huge sampler quilt fan, but this one really sang to me. Putting my bias towards pink aside, the color palette of soft pinks, yellows, and greens, and the spaced layout made a very appealing quilt. Maggie, grab a well deserved 'Featured' button!

Now it's your turn to share!
  • Please link directly to your specific post, not your main blog page.
  • Link any recent post that has to do with sewing and fabric.
  • Visit the other party guests and leave a comment. It's a great way to make new friends!
Have fun!

  1. I agree that making the pieced backings always seems like I am making a second quilt. Your t-shirt quilts turned out so well.

    Maggie's sampler is very pretty.

  2. I love your t-shirt quilts. I have one to make myself - actually two I suppose when I get into my brother tees that were saved after he passed. I just cannot bring myself to think about it or work on it yet. Every time I see someone making a t-shirt quilt I think I need to get going on it. You did a great job! ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. love your projects!

thanks so much for linking up!

  4. Really nice T-shirt quilts and lovely pink one. I'll have to go back and check it out.

  5. I like layouts of the quilts very much. They are looking wonderful.

Thank you so much for just made my day!
