Midweek Makers #70

Welcome to another day of project sharing at Midweek Makers! I've gotten right to work on my May Book of the Month project, sewing scrap strips together and cutting them to size,

for a Pixie Sticks quilt from the Stash Lab book. Notice the fun fuchia and orange yellow pops of color, based on the triadic color scheme under aqua blue (it's at the bottom of the card).

I'm starting with four blocks, then I'll see where I want this project to go.

Last week, Andree from Quilting and Learning finished this wonderful wall hanging from her travels to England.

So simple, but so attractive! And what a great souvenir of her trip - Andree, grab a 'Featured' button!

  1. Your scrap strips look so yummy together :) Where did you get the color card chart?

    1. Thanks Tish! I bought the C&T 3-1 Color Tool thru Amazon. I love how this one works, as it has all values of the hue to hold it up to fabric for matching and figuring out what the color is. The traditional color wheel works, but this one has much more detail, including the CYMK and RGB numbers. Highly recommend it!

  2. I love the Tea Room mini!

The color pops look great in your strips. Can't wait to see where this one goes.

  3. Such a great idea - Book of the Month! Your quilt will be lovely, I'm sure! I'll be sure to visit Andree and let her know how beautiful I think her wall hanging is! Thanks for hosting!

Thank you so much for just made my day!
