Midweek Makers #124

It's Wednesday and it's a Midweek Makers day!

My share today is a Hunter Star block, made with the Rapid Fire Hunter's Star Ruler.

A total of sixteen are made, and I'll stop there. Not enough fabric to make more, plus I like the layout - more blocks would spoil that. So, you'll have to be satisfied with this sneak peek, as the entire quilt reveal will be May 25, my day of the Wish Upon a Star Blog Hop hosted by Carol at Just Let Me Quilt.

And if you didn't know already, I'm sucker for scrap quilts, and this Colorful Scraps quilt from Andree at Quilting and Learning, just makes my heart sing!

Even though this is an older quilt, it has such a pretty assortment and arrangement of color - well done Andree!

Now it's your turn - what project do you have to share - we'd all like to see!

  1. Hi Susan,
I cannot wait to see your Hunter Star quilt reveal on the 25th! I am looking forward to seeing how you quilt it. I have been doing some ruler work on my quilt for that same date, and I think of you each time I move from one star point to another. You shared several videos that I have watched, and so I think to myself just move over freehand - you can do it like Susan does. So, thank you for being an unwitting mentor! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Oh now the pressure is really on! I'm a bit stumped on how to quilt the Hunter's Star because of the value change. So, it will be interesting to see what I come up with.
It's also wonderful to hear that I have given you confidence - that and inspiration are what I hope to achieve through this blog!

  2. I'm very curious how your quilt will look! The Hunters Star block is so interesting...I cannot envision it in a quilt!

  3. That's a great blue print. Can't wait to see more.

  4. The hunters star is one of my favorite quilts blocks and I look forward to seeing your. Thank you for hosting the link party.

Thank you so much for just made my day!
