Midweek Makers #125

Welcome to Midweek Makers! I've got a lot to share today - how about you? First up, is a quilting sneak peek on my Hunter's Star quilt for the currently running Wish Upon a Star Blog Hop.

Hunter's Star backside quilting

Oh so mean, only giving you the backside!! But trust me, on Friday, May 25, you'll see the whole quilt, plus there will be a quilting video on the pretty motif, suitable for domestic or longarm machines. It will be worth it!

I've also gotten a start on the 5th Grade Quilt from the book Precut Primer (affiliate link).

I put out my "DO NOT DISTURB" sign, and cut and chain pieced 10 blocks in around 3 hours.

And last week, I made the trip to Portland, OR for Quilt Market.

I sat in on Schoolhouse, a full day of different 30 minute classes, and met Kelly Young of My Quilt Infatuation plus saw all of her quilts from her new book, Stash Statement (affiliate link). This is her version of Regatta, which I'm making from my scraps, to be revealed June 18.

And to add to all this busi-ness, my oldest kitty, Roscoe, wasn't eating. He's since had a shot to help his inflamed insides, and he's eating better now. But Saturday, he needed his mommy!

Roscoe

To show more love for Roscoe, the features this week are all about critters!
There's bunnies at Quilts Etc,

    1. You're welcome! Roscoe is on steriods for a while, but at least he's feeling better.
Didn't bring home anything from Quilt Market as my mission wasn't to shop but to make connections.

  3. Hi Susan,
Oh yippee - another video! I can't wait to see it along with the FULL reveal of your Hunter's Star. I just got my copy of Precut Primer in the mail yesterday. There are a lot of good things in that. Thanks for the recommendation. Happy Wednesday! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. I promise the video will be a good one - a design everyone can use. And awesome you got the book! I'm so busy with blog hops, I feel I'm not doing this book justice. I think I'll revisit it later this year, cause there certainly are other quilts I'd like to make. Can't wait to see yours!
