It's Fair Time!

Tomorrow, June 9, marks the start of one of our local fairs, and my favorite to enter quilts into because there's over 350 quilts to see.

Given that I make 40-50 quilts per year, a fraction of those become destined to go to the fair, though they are not created for that intent. I tend to make the quilt, and based on how it turns out, I then decide whether it's a fair candidate.

I also enter my own creations, not quilts made from other's patterns. And with that, this year's entries are the following, in no particular order or category:

If your just seeing these quilts, click on the links to read more about them, and see close up pictures. Also, the first five are available as patterns in my Craftsy and Etsy shops.

The fair starts tomorrow, but due to my son's graduation from college, I won't get to the fair until June 16. For those of you local, don't spoil it for me - I'll let you know how it goes after that date.

If you have never entered a fair before, I highly recommend it. You never know what will happen, plus it's a great way to show off your work!

Happy Quilting, and see you at the fair!

  3. Thanks for showing those great Quilts again. I recall how much I enjoyed your work. Also brings back memories of when we lived in Redwood City. Hope you win some ribbons.

    1. Hope so! Entered that into the applique category, as that what it is. Certainly not your traditional applique quilt!
