Given that I make 40-50 quilts per year, a fraction of those become destined to go to the fair, though they are not created for that intent. I tend to make the quilt, and based on how it turns out, I then decide whether it's a fair candidate.
I also enter my own creations, not quilts made from other's patterns. And with that, this year's entries are the following, in no particular order or category:
Fireworks wall hanging
Slots lap quilt
Strawberry Splendor wall hanging
Love Match table runner
Winter Feed wall hanging
Joy quilt
Jess quilt
Serendipity Mini quilt
If your just seeing these quilts, click on the links to read more about them, and see close up pictures. Also, the first five are available as patterns in my Craftsy and Etsy shops.
The fair starts tomorrow, but due to my son's graduation from college, I won't get to the fair until June 16. For those of you local, don't spoil it for me - I'll let you know how it goes after that date.
If you have never entered a fair before, I highly recommend it. You never know what will happen, plus it's a great way to show off your work!
Happy Quilting, and see you at the fair!

Enjoy the fair!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne! It's always a fun time, seeing over 350 quilts, and all of the other art - I could spend a whole day just in one building!
DeleteThanks for providing pictures of your entries. I'll be on the lookout for them tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck to you too!
DeleteThanks for showing those great Quilts again. I recall how much I enjoyed your work. Also brings back memories of when we lived in Redwood City. Hope you win some ribbons.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paula! Wish you were still in the area so that you could see them in person
DeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your son! Exciting to be finishing college - the world is his oyster and I wish him loads of success and happiness. All your quilts look beautiful, and I can't wait to hear how they do. Enjoy the graduation. Happy Friday! ~smile~ Roseanne
Thanks Roseanne - we wish him success too! With neurobiology and biochemistry degrees, he should go far.
DeleteNice quilts. I especially like the strawberry one and the cardinals feeding.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Stunning! I remember reading about most of your quilts! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the quilt love!
DeleteSusan, I bet Fireworks will be a real favourite!
ReplyDeleteHope so! Entered that into the applique category, as that what it is. Certainly not your traditional applique quilt!
DeleteZee quilt is so fun! I haven't entered in the fair in quite some time, will have to consider!
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the fair. Enjoy looking at all the quilts.
