Midweek Makers #137

Hello again - it's Midweek Makers time! And maybe squirrel chasing time too - it certainly was for me!

I was supposed to be working on an upcoming pumpkin idea, but when digging through the stash for orange fabrics, I came across 7 woodpile blocks plus fabric strips to make more.

These were leftover from one of my favorite autumn quilts, Falling Leaves.

So, of course I needed to make more for another quilt. And to use up the fabric (that was the real reason - wink wink!). I'll have more on the latest finish on Friday.

This week I'm featuring critters, especially these cuties:
from The Clever Chameleon,

                                              Dragonfly appliqué by Clever Chameleon

from Quilting Patchwork Applique,

and from Dreamworthy Quilts,

Aren't those adorable?

  3. I love that first quilt you show - I called it by the wrong name and deleted the comment - at first glance I thought it was a log cabin quilt and then realized it was not - I like that pattern

  4. Your scraps sent me on the hunt for the original post for the falling leaves quilt, and then the book of the month it was in and then to Better World Books that is actually located 5 miles from me and I placed an order. See how you enabled me?!?

  8. Falling Leaves is beautiful. Is it really time for fall projects? I am somewhat fascinated by the sleek deer in the background.

  11. Hi Susan! Lovely, lovely fabrics and I can't wait to see your newest creation. And I really love those fireflies by Dione! She made the cleverest template for them. Happy Wednesday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne
