Midweek Makers #138

Welcome to Midweek Makers, the place to share what you're working on! From all of the pretty orange and green fabric I showed 2 weeks ago, some of it has evolved into a pumpkin/leaf block.

This is the first one, though not the final version. It takes a few tries to work out how I want it to look, along with recording all the measurements and cutting directions so that I can repeat it. But soon there will be a pumpkin quilt.

I know it's early, but I'm already in a fall mood of oranges, pumpkins, and leaves, so I'm honoring those types of quilts this week.

From MMM! Quilts,

from Made by Marney,

and from Tu-na Quilts,

thanks for the fall inspiration!

Now it's your turn - come share what you're working on!

  1. Ready for Fall! Your Pumkin is lovely

  2. Good Morning! All these pretty colors of fall - I am oh so ready for cooler weather to get here and stick around. Not cold - just cooler! If I may put in my order. I just LOVE those pieced leaves. They make me want to get back into paper piecing. Happy Wednesday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. love that spider! actually I hate them but this one is kind of cute in a creepy kind of way!

  4. I love that, the pumpkin leaf block that is. So cute. Cant wait to see what you make to go with it. Thank you for the linky party

  5. What a great block! Perfect for Fall!

  6. That's a great pumpkin/leaf block! You know me, I love stuff like that, shadows, super-imposed images.... :-) Thanks for featuring my Maple Leaf Rag quilt!

  7. Hello Sweet Susan! Love your pumpkin block. I am totally in the mood for fall. Thanks for being so supportive and highlighting my goofy spider, too.

  8. Your pumpkin block is darling, but I do NOT want a head start on fall this year. Kids just started back to school and I have a senior who is, um, CHALLENGED where time management is concerned... We can't skip ahead to pumpkin season until he gets started with his college applications and essay... or at least figures out which schools he will apply to!

  9. Some wonderful fall inspiration!

Thank you so much for just made my day!
