Halloween Quilt in the Works

Spent yesterday sewing together strips of all those fun Halloween fabrics, both new and old.

When I got to the applique part,

someone was not happy I had moved his bed to use the machine, so he settled on the quilt instead. And proceeded to swish his tail at me in displeasure. Cats.

Then he resettled, and I had to call it quits for the day.

Hopefully, I can get this quilt finished up today. It's a great Halloween pattern that can be made with either a jelly roll, fat quarters, or yardage. And I know we all have Halloween fabrics in our stash just begging to be used!

So, I'm getting back to it and will show you more on Monday.
Have a great weekend quilting!

  1. I am so glad to know that Terry and I are not the only people that change what we want to do so we don't disturb our pets. I'll be interested to see how this quilt progresses. I love Halloween!

  2. I will sit longer than I plan to or should just so I don't disturb the dog on my lap. LOL What we do for our pets! Can't wait to see what the strips turn in to.

  3. I look forward to seeing the finish. Family (including pets) are worth stopping quilting for! :)

  4. Hi Susan! HAHA - how dare you move his bed just to use the machine?!! You have to move the machine, silly. He looks quite comfortable and certainly is not going to move just so you can sew. I'll be back for the update! ~smile~ Roseanne

  5. Does he let you move him, or does he get feisty when you try? He looks so comfy though, and cats and Halloween fabric just seem to go together, right?!

  6. A halloween quilt complete with cat fur. What can be better? Love those applique cats eyes.

  7. They do have a way of letting you know their displeasure.

Thank you so much for just made my day!
