Midweek Makers #151

Welcome to Midweek Makers - another day of sharing! I've made no further progress on Mediterranean Rose cause I got distracted whipping up some quilts for those affected by the Camp fire that destroyed Paradise, CA. This one in progress is composed of 10" wide floral strips,

separated by yet to be stitched in dark blue strips. Quick and easy, so I can move on to the next one.

In other news, I received an email last week from Cheryl with the following message regarding the Pumpkin Applique Block:

I wanted to show you how I made your pumpkin pattern. I had some toweling and stitched them to it then fringed the bottom. Love doing your patterns. I made the watermelon runner but forgot to send you a picture.
Happy Thanksgiving.

And here's the pumpkins,

looking awesome in the stacked arrangement, just like I thought they would - great job Cheryl!

With Christmas now fast approaching, we can expect to see lots of red and green on Midweek Makers, with last week starting it off. From Quilting at the Cro's Nest, this beautiful tree skirt,

from Vicki's Crafts and Quilting, this very cute tree table runner,

and from Songbird Designs, this Christmas Cactus block.

  1. Good Morning Susan! Cheryl's pumpkin wall hanging turned out so great. Those floral strips look so happy and just perfect for a donation quilt. It's so nice of you to contribute to those impacted by the Camp fire. Happy Wednesday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. You are so kind. Thank you for the linky party.

  3. how did I miss those adorable wonky trees??? Thanks so much for hosting a talented group each week Susan! It's like coming to your house for a party

  4. Hi Susan! Nice that you are making quilts for those who lost everything in the fire. I am just now getting back to quilting. Made it 2 days before December! Have a great day!

  5. I'm loving the red. green and white pieces. The pumpkins do look great vertically stacked.

  6. Well done you for your contribution, every year we watch in horror from here in the UK at how this horrid force of nature ruins lives. I'm sure your quilts will bring some much needed comfort.

  7. Thanks for the feature, Susan! You were distracted from completing your quilt by a good cause. I know your quilts will help someone who lost everything. And, your pumpkin pattern looks great on the fringed toweling Cheryl created!

Thank you so much for just made my day!
