Midweek Makers #153

Welcome to Midweek Makers! We're closing in on the end of the year, and I'm sure many are frantically sewing to finish projects in time for Christmas - I hope you have time to share them with us today!

Because I needed my design wall, I finally sewed on the corners on the Mediterranean Rose quilt with the help of glue for proper placement.

The leaf triangles needed to line up with the rose tips on each edge, and the stem in the corner unit needed to line up with the diagonal seam of the blocks. Couldn't just make a corner triangle and slap it on - no, I had to make it difficult for myself! Let's just say glue and I are very close friends.

I also got a start on a 5th quilt for those in Paradise, CA, using my scrappy, stash-busting Quarter Cut pattern from Paradise 1.

I've been taking lots of pictures this time for a Quarter Cut pattern tutorial on Friday - I think you're going to love how easy this quilt is!

Now let's see some beautiful quilts from last week:

from Sew Preeti Quilts,

from Storied Quilts,

and from Elm Street Quilts.

  1. Elmer and I are also very good friends. Without the washable glue sticks and washable school glue there's no way I could do some of what I do. Well I could but, there would be blood all over my word. Pins and I go to war every time I use more than one or two. I love your rose blocks, I'll be watching for the finish. Thank you for the linky party.
