Midweek Makers #168

Welcome to Midweek Makers! I hope you've been enjoying all of the string/scrap projects on the All About String Hop. I showed off mine, Seafarer, on Monday,

sailboat on the Seafarer quilt by QuiltFabrication

and now I'm working on another, smaller quilt, for a hop featuring Bonnie Hunter's book, String Frenzy (affiliate link), coming April 4-10.

  3. I adore your Seafarer quilt. You captured the ocean waves brilliantly, both with the piecing and fabric choices as well as your quilting. And THANK YOU for featuring my pineapple log cabin quilt! Such a nice surprise! :-). I did use a lot of different fabrics, resulting in TONS of leftover 1 1/2" strips, so now I'm on the lookout for string projects that would use them up!

  4. seafarer is so clever! Love seeing strips cut into diamonds. Love that, and the blues, and that cute little boat. What a treat to seem my work up on your blog... why does it look better on your blog than mine??! Anyway, I like seeing the mix of styles of the many fabric work from last week all in one place like this too. Thanks so much Susan! Can't wait to see what you're making next with strings.

  6. Seafarer is a very handsome quilt. The single boat adds just the right focal point to this quilt. I am sure he will cherish it for a very long time.
