Midweek Makers #173

It's Wednesday, which means another Midweek Makers party! Remember Ketra's large batik quilt I showed last week? Well, I loved both the batiks and the quilting design so much, that I dug out one of my own batik quilts pieced years ago, inspired to finally finish it. Here's a peek of it on the frame:

My older son admired this quilt years ago, and he gets first claim, though I think he'll take it later this year when it gets cold again.

And how about all those star quilts last week! There's a ton of improv stars at Sew with Sparkles,

hand quilting progress on this colorful star at Quilts Etc,

a beautiful Twilight Stars quilt at Grace and Peace Quilting,

this pretty scrappy star block from Making a Lather,

an exploded star full of diamonds by Storied Quilts,

pretty Lilac Stars at Two Dogs Studio,

and the beautiful blue Star of Chamblie blocks by Chopin - A Passionate Quilter.

Wow! Stars certainly have quite the staying power in the quilt world - lovely work everyone!
