Midweek Makers #175

Welcome to Midweek Makers - glad you're here! I'm showing off a sea of chain stitched petals for the Petunia Patch baby quilt - a really cute quilt pattern from the Scrappy and Happy Quilts book! (affiliate link)

chain stitching for Petunia Patch quilt

Though lots of stitching and trimming, it will be worth it - more to come!

Did you notice all the flying geese that hit Midweek Makers last week? Check these out:

from the Cheeky Cognoscenti, a beautiful quilting plan around her whirling geese,

from 2 Dogs Studio, these geese that sparkle on the black background,

from Time 4 Stitchin, these really pretty blue geese blocks,

and though these aren't technically geese, I love this quilt from Anja Quilts.

Now it's your turn - come share what you're working on!

  1. Oh My! That's a lot of chain sewing! Your Batik from yesterday is just beautiful.

  2. I really should make more scrap quilts. Your photo leaves me with a question, "will she add more colors or is she going with a pink/red scrap quilt?" Guess I will just have to wait.

  3. Hi Susan! All that red and white pile of goodness right there makes me want to make something in those colors as well. I just said that to someone else this morning that a red and white quilt is needed and in my cards soon. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. These are some of my very favorite projects this week. :) And Anja's finish, even though the final project is a star, there are plenty of flying geese units within that star! I'm looking forward to seeing how Petunia Patch turns out. (Love red)

  5. Thanks for the shout out, Susan! :-). Now if I can just get that design QUILTED... It's so much faster to sketch an idea on the iPad than it is to actually execute it with needle and thread!! Your deep pink and white chain pieced units are intriguing -- are those flying geese units or something else?

  6. Thanks for the shout out. The next border is flying geese LOL

  7. Thank you for hosting another fabulous link up!

Thank you so much for just made my day!
