Midweek Makers #185

Welcome to Midweek Makers! I'm happy to report that my guild's Summer Camp was a big success, and my binding samples are now completed place mats, ready for the table.

Quilting followed the squares of the cute animal print,

and they're reversible too - another great finish to spiff up our table!

A couple different geometric links caught my eye last week:
this fun bird quilt from The Quilt Yarn,

Mr Walrus, including a fun story, from Laughing Gas Quilts,

this Morning Glory flimsy finish by Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer,

and, because I'm a native of Ohio, this great state quilt from Kathy's Quilting Blog.

And what's your share this week? Hope the heat hasn't stifled your creativity too much.

  1. Very cute placemats...makes me want to jump up and make some. However, I am still doing my bird quilt. Can’t rush these things. Thanks for mentioning my quilt😎

  3. Hi Susan! How did the Summer Camp quilters like the flanged binding? Did any of them give it a try? These placemats sure turned out cute and I love that they are reversible. ~smile~ Roseanne

  7. Love the place mat fabric. I was picking out fabrics for scrappy back for the Ohio quilt. I was going to go with all farming/flowers/trees... but it just didn't jive. I had a older fabric that had a similar theme as the one you used. Thank you for featuring it!
