Quilting Overload!

Ok, I'll confess - I'm tired. I've been on quilting overdrive the last week, mainly because I had the house to myself for 8 days. With no heavy cooking or cleaning to do, it's great to have lots of extra time to quilt, but there is the risk of burnout.

Just like the picture, I've been surrounded by lots of fabric, for several projects. One project turned into a squirrel, resulting in the Holiday Star place mats and runner, which I'm really happy with.

At the start of the week, I was attempting to finish up this secret project, but it got pushed aside again. I really must get back to this one before the summer is over.

On the 4th of July, my patriotism was super high (due to those new place mats), as it was with lots of people. Several orders came in for my Fireworks pattern and kit, requiring an afternoon of cutting, printing, and packing.

Then, on Friday, I realized my blog pages needed updating after a couple months of neglect. Another afternoon spent, this time on the computer, to get the 2019 Quilt Gallery, Patterns, Tutorials, Quilting Tutorials, and 2019 Book of the Month pages current and up-to-date.

I still haven't started the second quilt from Accent on Angles book (affiliate link), but hey, I have a month. Instead, I probably need to work on the Round Robin project. I certainly don't want the exchange day sneaking up on me, then hustling to get it done. That shall be the challenge today, with hopefully more to show this week.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Look at you go!!! I would like a day or two of that - but I think you are right - 8 days might wear me out! Glad you got a lot done!
