Midweek Makers #219

Welcome to the Midweek Makers linky party - what a week it has been! I managed to keep quilting and finish up Spring Fling while the county issued a shelter in place order for 3 weeks. And my Peace Corps-serving son is being evacuated from his post to come home early to one of the biggest viral hot spots in country - go figure. Life is indeed crazy right now!!

Since Friday, I've decided to focus instead on quilting. The last two days I prepped and played with TAP or transfer artist paper (affiliate link), my March 2020 Book of the Month feature

letters affixed using transfer artist paper or TAP

Since this project is for MooseStash Quilting's Making Us Laugh Blog Hop celebrating National Quilting Day, the full reveal will be my day, on Friday. Until then, it's a sneak peek at what the TAP transfer looks like - clear and crisp! As for National Quilting Day, most get-together's have been cancelled due to the virus, but I'm sure there will be some online fabric/notion deals out there instead.

Moving on, it's now time to look at some pretties from last week's Midweek Makers.

Den syende himmel has an updated star project,

Eagles' Wings Quilts has these lovely bright Kona stars,

and Patchouli Moon made this gorgeous tote.

  1. It will be good to have your son home, but certainly not under these circumstances. This is such a crazy situation, but we quilters just keep on sewing for therapy.

  3. It's a crazy time right now! When you have to stay put it's so much harder! Luckily we all have our sewing to pass the hours, days and weeks!
