Midweek Makers #227

Welcome to the Midweek Makers linky party! I've moved into bigger scraps and bright colors to make more Brick Yard blocks (click the link for the block tutorial).

This was originally destined for a guild block party, but with meeting cancellations, I have no idea when it could get there. So, instead, I'm making more bright blocks for a baby quilt, going smaller instead of a Brick Yard lap version like before. There's more to come!

And how about these pretties from last week?

(Update: due to blog issues, links and pictures from other blogs have temporarily been removed)

From Gretchen's Little Corner, Calico Stars flimsy,

from Making a Lather, adorable bunny blocks,

and from Karen Quilts...etc, the Alaska flimsy.

Nice work everyone! Who's got something to share this week?

  2. I would not have guessed when I saw the brick yard block that it would make such a stunning quilt as the purple version. What a gorgeous use of color variations! Quilt on.

  3. What a fun and dynamic block! It appears simple but when the blocks are together...it's amazing!

  4. Such pretty features this week. I really like the colors on the Brick Yard block. I probably wouldn't have chosen those colors to pair together however seeing them sewn they look pretty good.
