Midweek Makers #241

Welcome to Midweek Makers - time to party!

yellow green red blue dots for Midweek Makers linky party at QuiltFabrication

My share this week is two client quilts, adding these pretty swirls and feathers to Amy's 99" x 99" quilt,

green and cream star block

and stitching jigsaw puzzles pieces to Amy's (a different Amy) very fun and colorful t-shirt quilt.

That means not much sewing has happened in the last few days, though I feel lucky to have gotten the purple scrap blocks done for RSC, plus indigo and violet for a rainbow Celilo.

These 'purples' sent me down a rabbit hole of color theory, but it was a worthwhile journey. To learn more about rainbows and these 'purples', be sure to read my post Purple vs Indigo vs Violet - it's quite the color trip!

And have you entered to win a copy of Walk, Jog, Run yet? As part of my effort to provide quilters with the best resources, view my 5 Must-Have Quilting Books, which includes an additional 5 recommended books, plus the giveaway. The contest is open until August 31 (continental US entrants only at this time)

Last week the features were all about stars, but this week, I'm seeing squares. Check out these:

from New Every Morning, this pretty patchwork UFO,

irish chain quilt from new every morning patchwork and quilting

from Gretchen's Little Corner, squares within squares,

squares in squares from Gretchens little corner

from Viridian's blog, this double 4-patch.

double 4 patch quilt from Veridian

and from That Fabric Feeling, a postage stamp quilt in progress.
