Midweek Makers

Welcome to Midweek Makers! It's time for another week of sharing!

But first we need to congratulate Brenda who won the second book bundle in the National Sewing Month Giveaway last week - congrats and enjoy!

Now for the sharing. Though I'm still in the mood for fall colors, my share is a Christmas finish.

This is a commissioned Advent calendar quilt, made from a Snapdragon Designs pattern from 1991. The client's mom had made her one when she was a kid, and she had me make this one for her daughter. And it turned out pretty cute!

Now that that's done, I can get back to the orange, red, and yellow of fall. From last week, we had these:

really great looking batik pumpkins from Time for Stitching,

batik pumpkins on a grey background

this looking up from underneath the trees view from Donnaleeq,

fall leaves on trees

and this tutorial for making pumpkins from Hello Sewing.

  1. Good morning, Susan! I am not ready yet to think about the holidays although I am working on my second snowman runner. I love the colors of Fall, especially those showoff Maples and their glorious reds and oranges. I hope you are doing well and thank you for the linky party. ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. I love homemade advent calendars! How cool for the daughter to have one just like the one she grew up with when she was a child. :-)
