Midweek Makers 286

Welcome to Midweek Makers! Happy Fourth of July - stay safe this weekend!

This is my last week to gush over red, white and blue - I'm sorry, I just can't get enough! I'm loving my newest additions to my decor, the Patriot runner

and the Liberty wall hangingEverything will remain out until the end of July, then I'll have wait till next year to fulfill my passion. How sad :(

Though most don't share my enthusiasm for red, white, and blue, there were a couple of quilts featuring those colors last week.

From DonnaleeQ, this quick little charity quilt,

and from Chopin - A Passionate Quilter, this simple beauty.

Now it's your turn - what have you been up to?

  • please link directly to your post not your homepage
  • please link a quilt related project
  • visit with the others and spread some comment love
Have fun!

  1. Red white and blue is your favorite combination? I would have never guessed :-D I am working on my first RWB quilt and I am pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous those colors look together. Have a Happy Fourth!!!

  2. Thanks for all the new ideas to use the RWB. I have a couple we did after 9/11. But there are so many holidays - Poppy Day, Pearl Harbor Day, just because I sometimes need a little reminder. I might try the table runner in school colors for special sport events - where there are kids there is always food! Thanks again.

  3. No 4th of July celebration in my part of the world but I guess I have the blue in my bags!

  4. As always I really like your r,w,b runners and other pieces. Don't forget that those colors work for Memorial Day (maybe leave everything out until after the Fourth of July), Labor Day to Veteran's Day. Labor Day might be pushing it a bit but it's worth considering. On the other hand a whole lot of my table runners would go to waste if I only left out my R, W, B one. (which I used duller tones with and thus I'm not in love with it!)
