Midweek Makers #404

Welcome to Midweek Makers!

Recovery from lumbar fusion is going well, especially after a second round of steroids to relieve nighttime sciatic pain on the other side. Most of my days are spent reading or streaming Suits - lots of resting. Maybe in a few weeks I can do more.

With Halloween soon upon us, this week I'm sharing a new Halloween themed block. Who's up for an applique Spider Web block?

Feeling in the mood for Halloween back in August, I designed this block for fun and applique ease. And it can be printed in 3 block sizes - 8, 10, 12 - with instructions on how to enlarge and print.

Find the Spider Web block in my Etsy Shop along with other runners and quilts to make for Halloween.

Now join us for this week's party!

  • please share a quilt item
  • please link directly to your post
  • share some comment love
Have fun!

  1. I'm sorry you had to deal with additional pain from another source, but glad there's a solution for that! What have you been reading? I'm always looking for book recommendations! That's such a cute block - thanks for the freebie!

  2. I'm sorry the recovery involves more pain. There's a new season of the Great British Baking Show on Netflix. (And Virgin River if you can manage a soap opera.) The spiderweb block is cute!

  3. I hope the additional pain was only a blip in the recovery. I’m sure it must have been discouraging all the same. I hope things go better from now on out. Thanks for the web block. It’d be really cute done in those chenille strips I’m seeing these days.

  6. So sorry you are still having problems. Sciatic pain is horrible. It's wise to just rest up until you are better. I hope it is soon! Take good care of yourself.
