New friends have moved in - welcome Neighbors!
Over the past year, we've been both the new neighbor moving in, and the established neighbor welcoming in others. It's been a joy meeting new friends in both ways!
In case you haven't guessed already, Neighborhood is the Quilt Block Mania theme for April. There's a ton of neighbor-theme blocks to collect this month - just look at them all!
As you visit each site, please be kind and thank the designers - it's the neighborly thing to do.

House and Tree
I had a lot of fun designing the Neighbors block and just had to stitch it up! Isn't that fun? I'm sensing an entire quilt based on this one.
For my Neighbors block, I pulled out fabrics from the scrap bag, having a great time playing with door colors. I could definitely feel this block becoming addictive to make!
No matter if its scraps or fat quarters, a little bit of applique and simple piecing bring these Neighbors together for a finished 12" x 12" block.

oh but this is wonderful. I can see sitting and playing with different colors to make the neighborhood. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteI really like your block this month.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know who’s the organizer of the monthly Quilt Block Mania but there numerous designers that don’t follow up when they want you to sign up at their site. Then there are the ones who site comes up NOT FOUND. I look forward to these blocks every month. The blocks are interesting and fun but it’s also very frustrating when you can’t get them. Like this month House and Tree block, the site comes up Not Found.
