Sneak Peeks!

I've been busy, busy, busy the last two weeks, designing, stitching, and quilting! Not to disappoint, I'm sharing a few sneak peeks of what I've been working on.

First up is a little snippet of a block I've designed for the Just Let Me Quilt's It's a Guy Thing blog hop, starting on Monday, July 26.

I was absolutely giddy when this block was done - it turned out so cute! Wish I could show more but you'll just have to wait till next Friday for the big reveal!

Next up is progress on the Block Base Plus Sew Along quilt. Now that all eight blocks are finished, I'm making sure I get this quilt done in time for the linky party on August 16.

I showed my progress last Friday, and cut more triangles to fill out the rest of the border with quarter square blocks. Thank goodness for the Crafters Edge Crossover II machine - it made cutting and sewing these triangles into blocks really easy!

In between these two projects, I had 5 quilts to quilt for a friend who is participating in the 70273 Project - read about it at www.The70273Project.org

A simple stipple in white thread was all that was needed to let those X's shine.

And now I need to return my focus to stitching and quilting since the Guy Thing project is not very far along. Nothing like a sprint to the deadline!!

Have a great weekend quilting!

  1. I thought about making the 70273 Project at one time and then never got started on it - I think I would have tired of all those X's

  2. I really wanted to do the BB+ Sew Along, but I already had so many quilts in my queue. I love your fabrics, I'm looking forward to watching your finish.

  3. That block looks like it is cute. Looking forward to seeing it completely. Nice job on your 70273 quilts. I have been si impressed with the number of people involved in it, as well as their goal.
