January 2017 Book of the Month

Happy New Year! The calendar turns once again, not only for a new year, but for a new month. And that means it's time for a new Book of the Month selection!

For January, the honor goes to I Love Color! by Marcia Harmening, a book full of six wonderful projects. This book joins four other January Book of the Month honorees, and all are worthy of a space on the shelf. They include:

January 2013

Piecing, Expanding the Basics from my favorite quilter, Ruth B. McDowell. My creation was Morning Glories.

January 2014

Bargello Quilts with a Twist by Maggie Ball has a very creative technique to create these quilts. This is Blue Bayou, one of two quilts made from the book.

January 2015

Tangle Stitches by Jane Monk is a fantastic book to get started in zentangle drawing. One can really get caught up in this!

January 2016

Quick Column Quilts by Nancy Zieman. Love all the quilts in this book! This is a Quilt to Give.

And that brings us to 2017, and new quilts to add to the list. Maybe I'll be inspired and take off in my own direction - I love it when that happens!

Happy New Year!
