QuiltFabrication's Best of 2018

Saying goodbye to 2018 today with a review of both the Top 5 Favorite Tutorials and the 5 Favorite Quilts of the year!
The previous post showcased all of my patterns created in 2018, while this post will look back at favorite tutorials, and favorite quilts, as determined by the number of page views. Thank you to all of my followers!

Plus, I'm linking up to the Best of 2018 Linky Party

hosted again this year by Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs - a great way to find new quilters and get inspired, so be sure to check it out.
Let's get started!

Top 5 Tutorials

Tutorials are still a favorite, and I love demonstrating techniques, because knowledge is power. There's nothing better than teaching a skill and empowering quilters with tools to push their quilting to new heights. With that said, here's 5 tutorials published this year, with one extra because it's had a large number of views in a short period of time.

Top 5 Quilts

Below are the top 5 most viewed quilts from 2018. Personally, I think the numbers are a bit skewed, as most have had much more time to garner views than others. With that in mind, I'm listing a second set of 6 quilts, cause they deserve recognition too!

The Second Top 6 Quilts

Thank you again for visiting and following, and cheers to a great year to come! Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

2018 QuiltFabrication Pattern Review

With 2018 drawing to a close, today is a review of all the patterns QuiltFabrication (that's me!) has produced this year.

2018 has been one of my most productive pattern years yet, with the release of 14 patterns, ranging from runners, to wall hangings, to lap quilts, plus some miscellaneous items. My, the ideas were flowing! And thank you to those who have purchased those patterns on Etsy - I so appreciate your support!

Table Runners

There are four, and I must say, I have a hard time choosing my favorite! Thank goodness they are holiday themed so they can be rotated through on the table.

Wall Hangings

This was a great group, from the strawberries in the spring, to the fun paperclips, then on to a non-traditional Christmas tree, and a very modern bird wall hanging. I love all of these!

Baby and Lap Quilts

There was one baby quilt, and two lap quilts, with the lap quilts being Halloween and fall themed - I loved decorating with these this year, as it's so easy to do with a quilt.

Miscellaneous Items

This group includes a pumpkin block, an updated coaster pattern to include other flowers, and rows with swimmers - wow!

Truly an outstanding year of creativity for me, and I hope to continue the streak this year - stay tuned!

Happy Quilting Everyone

Midweek Makers #155

Welcome to Midweek Makers, the place to share the projects your working on!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day - I did, sharing time with family. With the holiday week, I'm taking a few days off from quilting - things should get back to normal after the New Year.

Being that this is the season of giving, and being in a giving mood myself, with all of the quilts I've donated to Paradise, CA, I'm highlighting two quilters who are doing the same: giving quilts.

From Grace and Peace Quilting, all of these quilts.

And this from That Fabric Feeling.

Thank you to all who are giving this season, whether it's quilts, food, or a monetary donation - it's wonderful to spread the joy!

Now to this week's linky party - come share what you're working on.

Merry Christmas 2019

It's Christmas Eve, and Santa will be making his trip around the world, delivering all sorts of goodies tonight.

Yes, I'm still a believer, because really, Santa is more than just presents - he's really delivering love to the world. And that's a great thing to believe in.

And we, as quilters, deliver love when we make quilts for those around us. No matter if plain or fancy, there's nothing better than wrapping up in the love of a quilt. A bit of Santa's spirit lives in all of us!

Merry Christmas everyone!

QAL 2019 Link Up

Trying something new this year: a different way to share news about QAL's (quilt alongs) for 2019.

In years past, I've spent time searching the internet for those hosting FREE Quilt Alongs, and have always found at least 10 to share with readers.

This year, I'm trying a different approach - letting those hosting Quilt Alongs, both FREE and those requiring the purchase of pattern, link up their QAL post in the link ups on the QuiltFabrication QAL page.

If your hosting a Quilt Along, I'd love to have you link up your event! Please choose the proper linky for your event, FREE or Purchase Required. Both link ups are open now through the end of 2019.

Maybe you're participating in a QAL and would like to help spread the word! Leave a comment or shoot me an email (quiltfabrication at gmail dot com) so I can contact the host about linking up - the more the merrier!

Happy QAL Quilting!!
