Midweek Makers 357

Welcome to Midweek Makers!

I'm still plugging away on my beach scene quilt, sometimes getting slowed down by the computer side of it. Lots of time goes into making sure the templates print out in the correct sizes, so that I can use them to make the blocks and for the future pattern. Here's a new block that took some time - a Roller Coaster.

white railed roller coaster on grey supports with red, yellow, and green cars

Originally, the supports were pieced and the rail appliqued. As part of my simplification of this quilt, it's now entirely applique. And I love it!

Now let's check out these quilts from last week.

From Donnaleeq, her neutral quilt is a fine finish,

a few beautiful blocks from The Academic Quilter,

and some fun Drunkard's Path blocks from My Quilts and Crafts. Check out her post to see the finished product.

It's time to party! Come share what you're working on!

  • please link a quilt related item
  • please link directly to your post

Have fun!

  1. Your roller coaster is going to be quite the challenge! Circles and straight lines--oh my! (Thanks for featuring my blocks, too.)

  2. Hi Susan, I can see why appliqué would be the way to go for your block. Looking forward to seeing the quilt!
