Christmas Giveaway #1

Let's celebrate Christmas with a month of giveaways! That's right, each Friday in the month of December, I'll be giving away a featured quilt book - Merry Christmas to you, from me and C&T Publishing!

The first quilt book up for grabs will help you finish those quilts! Appropriately titled The Ultimate Quilt Finishing Guide and written by Harriet Hargrave and Carrie Hargrave-Jones, this book is full of border ideas plus info on batting, backing and binding.

What most impresses me about this book is the library of quilt borders. There's over 100 border ideas, grouped into themes based on shape or block style.

Given by the quilt on the front cover, one could easily make a Round Robin quilt based on the border ideas from this book - wouldn't that be fun!

Finally, the authors go into several methods of binding a quilt, including binding hexagonal quilts with 60 degree angles. Definitely a terrific reference book!

To win a copy of The Ultimate Quilt Finishing Guide, enter via Rafflecopter below. Giveaway is for continental US residents only - sorry, no international, Alaska or Hawaii at this time. Giveaway is open now until midnight December 8th. Good luck!

  2. I love fancy borders and always struggle with ideas to make a quilt more interesting to frame it.

  3. I already have a copy of this book and it is a true classic and should be in everyone's library. More than just borders. I've used this for Round Robbin Quilts as well. Some of them can be quilts in their own right. Must have for all quilters.

  4. Harriet has been around for years and very well versed in quilting. If I do not win it I am going to purchase a copy. Many times when making a quilt I would love to have had this book. Have a great day!
