Midweek Makers 312

Welcome to Midweek Makers! Who has something to share?

My share isn't quilt related this week, but it's what has been consuming a lot of my time for the last two weeks. We finished the relative's home, and for my son to rent, we have now bought a home from the original owner who passed away at 103. The house is fine, though it needs some work and updating, but the majority of the backyard is overgrown with ivy. Ugh.

Here's my son working on removing ivy from a tree (fig?) seen at the left of the picture,

and this is what it looks like now.

And behind those trees, are a couple trees even more filled with ivy. Yes, we're nuts and know this is going to take months and some heavy equipment, but it will be awesome when it's done!

Sorry about the linky party not working last week - must have been some little elves at work! They played with my calendar, but this week we'll be back to normal. Just link up what you're working on - you know the rules!

Have fun!

  4. Yes, it looks like your family has a lot of work to do, but oh! I'm sure the results will be well worth it!
