Midweek Makers #417

Welcome to Midweek Makers! And welcome to 2024!

January kicks off a new year for the RSC, also know as Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Each month, So Scrappy picks a color to use in making scrap blocks. And January is green, more on the dark or bright side. She says mint and sage will come later. So, I'm off to gather my scraps and find some time to sew - hopefully I can get a block done before the month is over. Stay tuned!

This week I'm featuring work-in-progress. Making a Lather has got a small start going,

Scrapbox Quilts has started London Calling with a fitting phone booth,

and Quilting and Learning is working on a Paddington Bear quilt - too cute!

  1. The Rainbow Scrap Challenge is a fun group to join in with! I'll enjoy seeing what block you decide to make. Have a great day, Susan!

  2. Hi Susan, good luck with the green block! I'm looking forward to working more on my Paddington Bear quilt - I have a double decker bus that will be next. Thanks for the feature. I'm so glad that your back is doing better. Happy 2024!

  3. I look forward to doing RSC again this year. I might be out when it comes to the sage and mint.....I'm sure I have both in my pile now. Maybe I can take those out and save them back.

  4. I'm thinking of joining the rainbow scrap challenge too, maybe that would make a little dent in my scrap basket!

  5. I was thinking of skipping RSC this year but finally decided I could do it if I pick an easier block. So, I'm doing bowtie blocks. Very easy. I have several ideas of how to set it. My first block is finished although it was done in a lighter, possibly minty colored, green. Oh well. I'll add a few more shades during the month. Hope you can get a start on your blocks too.
