Midweek Makers 290

Welcome to Midweek Makers! I'm putting the final touches on my project for Just Let Me Quilt's It's a Guy Thing blog hop going on this week. Here's another sneak peek of one of my blocks.

I'm pretty excited about this quilt and can't wait to show off the whole thing on Friday - see you then.

I'd like to congratulate Lisa, the winner of the New York Beauty Sampler book giveaway last week. For fun, here's the results of the giveaway answers: though almost even, slightly more have not visited the Statue of Liberty; 3 to 1 like paper piecing, with a score of 6 or above; and a big majority (5 to 1) like sampler quilts. Thank you all for answering! And if you haven't already done so, be sure to enter the giveaway for the Seasons of Life Quilt book giveaway - contest ends tomorrow night!

Now let's check out these full-of-rainbow-color projects seen last week.

From Cocoa Quilts, this Jolly Bar Meringue,

from Not Afraid of Color, a rainbow of hexies,

and these pretty blocks from Quilt Piecer.

  6. That is a cute little block. (And, quilt -- I checked it out before I came to this post.) I must say I really like The Jolly Bar Meringue.
