Midweek Makers 352

Welcome to Midweek Makers!

I've got two more blocks to share from my son's beach boardwalk quilt. Since I had the palm tree templates, fabric and block diagram out, I went ahead and made these up. Each has an additional feature, such as this one, with the sand that will go off into the ocean and the upright surfboard.

This one is an even larger block with two palm trees and a hammock strung between them - oh so relaxing!

Ultimately, these two blocks will be joined together. When I get the other blocks made, I'll show off this row.

I was impressed with the quilts shown last week. There were a couple great quilts that Kathy's Quilting Blog got off the frame, ready for binding.

Not Afraid of Color showed off some fascinating blocks made from scraps. These remind me of Cathedral Windows.

And from Espritpatch, this pretty pink and grey finish.

Let's see what you're up to this week - come link up!

  1. oooo how fun to see my blocks on your showcase! They are a challenge but I like how they look and they do remind one of cathedral windows! Now how to quilt them... LeeAnna
