Stay at Home Round Robin 2021

Welcome to the official start of the Stay at Home Round Robin, hosted by Quilting Gail!

I'm a big fan of Round Robins, those quilt-alongs that start with your own center, then are passed to the next quilter for them to add a round, and so on. In the Stay at Home Round Robin, which is online, the quilt is completely created by you - there is no passing it around to several quilters.

Last year, I made two online Round Robin quilts with Quilting Gail's Stay at Home Round Robin: Fiesta Garden and the Moon and the Stars

Hubby begged me to stop Fiesta Garden after the pinwheel round, which I did, and it has become one of our favorite quilts

Having so much fun last year, I've joined with Quilting Gail and 6 other quilters to host the 2021 Stay at Home Round Robin, to create Round Robin quilts completely ourselves. Check out this impressive list:

And today is the start of a fun journey, running through February 28. Each week, there's a new round with a pre-chosen required block, and a linky party to share progress.

For my center, I've chosen a block I made years ago in the Laundry Day quilt along hosted by A Dream and a Stitch and Color, Creating, and Quilting.

Though this block leans patriotic, my intent is not to have the final quilt red, white, and blue. Instead, I plan to work in green, yellow, red, cream, and blue - I can't wait to create!

Won't you join us?

Happy Quilting

  5. Reminds me of a really old photo of my husband's grandmother hanging laundry on a windy day. Big house with 12 kids and assorted relatives, lots of laundry. Will make a great memory quilt.

  7. Hi Susan! What a fun center block. I can't wait to see how you build around this house with a cute quilt on the clothesline. Those additional colors will be fab to see added with each round. ~smile~ Roseanne
